“Babies Don’t Come With Manuals” Support Group

About the Group

This virtual group is for expectant moms and moms of babies younger than 24 months.

If you love your baby but feel overwhelmed and exhausted, or if you are pregnant and excited but nervous about the unknown, you are not alone! We lovingly called our group “Babies Don’t Come With Manuals”.

Babies Don’t Come With Manuals provides an intimate opportunity for mothers and expectant mothers alike to have a safe place to talk realistically and honestly about the misconceptions, stressors, challenges, worries, and joys of motherhood in a non-judgmental, and supportive environment.

This group is limited to 2-6 moms and all participants must be PA residents.

With support from one of our trained therapists and members of the group, you will learn tools and resources to navigate, adjust, and cope with being a mom or preparing to be a mom while exploring topics such as:

• Loving your baby, but not liking them all the time

• Childcare and career options

• Identity and role changes

• Ways to manage sadness and anxiety

• Mindful parenting

• Breastfeeding and breastfeeding stigmas

• Managing hormones

• Your body during pregnancy and after birth

• Sleep deprivation

Meeting Times

The group meets virtually every two weeks. This is an open group-you may choose to join anytime and you may choose to attend one or all of the group sessions. Babies are welcome to join!

Cost & Payment

The cost of attendance is $45. We accept debit and credit cards as well as Health Savings Account/Flexible Spending Account Cards.
