What to Expect at a Reiki Healing Session

At the beginning of your relaxing, rejuvenating experience, your Reiki practitioner will discuss your goals for the session and begin a grounding practice. Throughout your session, you will remain fully clothed, and seated comfortably in a reclined chair.

Reiki universal energy will begin being channeled through your practitioner’s hands—hovering closely by your body or by using light touch, if given permission. Reiki will direct itself to the areas of your body that need it most. The only thing for you to do is relax, rest, and be receptive.

As energy flows, you may experience a variety of sensations, including warmth, tingling, pulsing, and/or see visual colors representing the Reiki energy.
